There is no compromise coming from mgmt at all. No 'negotiation' can be successful if one side gets all it wants without even one concession. The villains here are Trimet without a doubt. Lucky for them they have the mainstream media in their pocket so only their side gets out to the public.<br /><br />They are breaking their promises to their employees, and worst of all the same people that are so casually breaking promises they made to their employees have no problems making themselves richer and richer with raise after raise for people with already absurdly high salaries. If the executives actually gave back something the whole dirty business might be more palatable.<br /><br />And believe me I have a lot of problems with our union, especially in regards to the union executives giving away the members right to strike without even asking the its members.
